Developer: LDM Design
Compatibility: N/A
OS: Mac & WIndows
Min. Requirements: LightPad M & ROLI Dashboard to update your BLOCK

Mod CC allows the user to build a custom MIDI controller which has 12 customizable slots and 4 sliders. Each slot can hold a switch, pressure pad or a momentary button. Along the bottom row are buttons which open and close a slider, which will open in that column. When the slider is hidden, the colour of the button reflects the value of the slider from green to red.

Switch – Push to turn on or off (0 or 127 )

Pressure – The pressure of the push sets the value of the CC parameter

Button – Momentary buttons to hold on and let go to turn off

Slider – Press a square in the bottom row to open that slider, change the slider, then press the square again to close

The CC number and type of control in each slot is set in Dashboard. The user can then save their setups as Modes.

LDM ROLI ModCC is a god-send. Thank you for developing this and making it available to buy. Just last month I spent a little time looking into what it would take to develop pretty much exactly what you just released, and it took me about 10 minutes to decide that it would be way too much work for me, so I sat back and hoped that someone would develop it for me, and here you are!! Perfect timing and absolutely perfect implementation with ModCC.
The only thing that I would love to see enhanced is using the side button on the ROLI Lightpad to toggle through say up to four banks of controllers, rather than just having the single bank. I’d happily pay twice the amount for such a controller too. That’s just a thought though. Five stars never-the-less. Great product! Works flawlessly. Thank you!

Our Products are generally provided as Zip file downloads which in all cases will need to be extracted and saved to your hard drive prior to installation. Details on the different file type provided and what to do with them are below.

.alp Files – These are Ableton Live Packs and will install directly into the Packs Section of the browser of Ableton Live. When you double click on them you will see a pop up window asking you to confirm that installation is ok as the files are described as “Legacy”. This is fine and you are ok to proceed, the packs are created using the format for an earlier version of Live and so remain compatible with the current version.

.amxd files – These are individual MaxforLive Devices and can be stored anywhere on your hard drive. We’d advise creating a folder for them and then adding that folder as a location within the Places section of Lives Browser.

Control Surface Scripts – Please refer to the individual User Guides provided with your download, an abridged version of the installation will be shown further down this page.

ClyphX Pro – Please refer directly to the manual and installation video for this specific product.

Novation Circuit Packs – These are provided as individual Sysex Files and as a complete bank file. All are to be installed using a version of the Circuit Editor and not via Novations Components back up utility.

ROLI Apps – Open the ROLI Dashboard and connect your BLOCKS controller, then drag the .littlefoot file onto the image of the BLOCK.

LDM Devices

LDM Design is a project which started life in 2016, recreating Monome apps in Max For Live to use natively on the Launchpad Mini, which are still freely available on his website. He also created the popular glitchy multi-FX sequencer devices Manglerack and MangleFX, influenced by the legendary Illformed Glitch VST. Since then the project has expanded into making all kinds of M4L devices, always taking care in designing a clean, unique GUI. Many of his devices also show a love for introducing various degrees of chaos and probability into music production. His first release for Isotonik, the LP Pack, continued recreating and improving upon classic Monome apps and original ideas to expand the creative potential of the Novation Launchpad Mk1 and Mk2. Next, as a homage to the great Brian Eno and his creative processes, LDM then released the best-selling Chance 10 Pack, which is a selection of modules utilizing chaos and probability to affect various elements of production. There are a number of great free devices available on his website – Chords in Key converts single MIDI notes into chords based on a set key, Gravity Delay is a fun ‘bouncing ball’ MIDI delay, and Autosputter is for live glitchy audio slicing, based on the old Instajungle VST. LDM Design continues to work on projects for Isotonik and his own website which will be available soon.
