Description

PRESSURECAFE

Pressure Cafe is based on the monome device, Press Cafe. The app has 5 different patterns, which can be set with 5 different notes. When the finger is held down on any column, the placement of the finger in the y axis determines what pattern will be used for that note.

The pressure value will control the velocity of the notes coming out, although this can also be mapped to aftertouch. Sliding the finger up or down will utilise midi CC 74 for more expressive play.

INSTRUCTIONS

When the finger is held down, a graphical representation of the sequence is shown on the column.

The app has 5 default patterns, but you can also edit each pattern and set a different sequence length. To do this, hold the side button and press one of the squares along the Y axis. Now a page will open showing that pattern. Now you can set each step to be on or off. And by holding the first step, and pressing another step, you will set the length of the pattern. Then just press the side buttonagain to return to playing.

The base note of the scale can also be set from the block by pressing the side button to get the note setting page.

In ROLI Dashboard you can set MIDI mode, Channel, Slide CC, scale, and choose the clock mode between internal and external MIDI clock. It will also advance once step each time it receives a C-2 note, which can allow for different speeds and odd sequencing.

PLEASE NOTE: ALSO AVAILABLE AS PART OF THE LDM ROLI BLOCKS PACK

INSTALLATION

Our Products are generally provided as Zip file downloads which in all cases will need to be extracted and saved to your hard drive prior to installation. Details on the different file type provided and what to do with them are below.

.alp Files – These are Ableton Live Packs and will install directly into the Packs Section of the browser of Ableton Live. When you double click on them you will see a pop up window asking you to confirm that installation is ok as the files are described as “Legacy”. This is fine and you are ok to proceed, the packs are created using the format for an earlier version of Live and so remain compatible with the current version.

.amxd files – These are individual MaxforLive Devices and can be stored anywhere on your hard drive. We’d advise creating a folder for them and then adding that folder as a location within the Places section of Lives Browser.

Control Surface Scripts – Please refer to the individual User Guides provided with your download, an abridged version of the installation will be shown further down this page.

ClyphX Pro – Please refer directly to the manual and installation video for this specific product.

Novation Circuit Packs – These are provided as individual Sysex Files and as a complete bank file. All are to be installed using a version of the Circuit Editor and not via Novations Components back up utility.

ROLI Apps – Open the ROLI Dashboard and connect your BLOCKS controller, then drag the .littlefoot file onto the image of the BLOCK.

DEVELOPER

LDM Devices

LDM Design is a project which started life in 2016, recreating Monome apps in Max For Live to use natively on the Launchpad Mini, which are still freely available on his website. He also created the popular glitchy multi-FX sequencer devices Manglerack and MangleFX, influenced by the legendary Illformed Glitch VST. Since then the project has expanded into making all kinds of M4L devices, always taking care in designing a clean, unique GUI.Many of his devices also show a love for introducing various degrees of chaos and probability into music production. His first release for Isotonik, the LP Pack, continued recreating and improving upon classic Monome apps and original ideas to expand the creative potential of the Novation Launchpad Mk1 and Mk2. Next, as a homage to the great Brian Eno and his creative processes, LDM then released the best-selling Chance 10 Pack, which is a selection of modules utilizing chaos and probability to affect various elements of production. There are a number of great free devices available on his website – ldmdesign.org. Chords in Key converts single MIDI notes into chords based on a set key, Gravity Delay is a fun ‘bouncing ball’ MIDI delay, and Autosputter is for live glitchy audio slicing, based on the old Instajungle VST.LDM Design continues to work on projects for Isotonik and his own website which will be available soon.
