In the last month of so we’ve been reflecting on where we started as a collective and with all of the latest releases pushing the bar so high we thought it would be a good time to start featuring some of our earlier exploits…
In this series we’ll be giving some of the background to how our talented team of developers joined the team and the methodology behind some of their most popular devices.
We’ll kick the series off at the very beginning and the AKAI APC40.
It was an amazing controller, bringing a new workflow to Session view in Ableton Live, but it still needed work for us to take it out with us in replacement of Serato and the Technics 1210’s.
The very basis of Isotonik Studios can be traced back to this very controller and in this video we show our early developments using the precursor to MaxforLive the brilliant (and still is) BOMES MIDI Translator software.
Excuse the quality of the video, you’ll see how things improve over the course of this series of posts (we hope!)
