Ableton Move RNBO

The Ableton Move RNBO Takeover transforms your Move into a fully customised musical instrument. Rather than being limited to the device’s built-in features, you can take over the entire hardware with anything you patch in RNBO. Custom synths, effects, sequencers, controllers, all running directly on the Move with no host computer required.

The Move becomes a comprehensive hardware platform for RNBO development. Your patches get complete access to the 8×4 pressure-sensitive RGB pad grid, the 8 rotary encoders, the LED display, MIDI I/O, and stereo audio in/out. That’s professional grade hardware with hands-on, real-time feedback for every patch you build.

You’ll need an Ableton Move running firmware 1.5.1 or later, on the same network as your development computer. Build your instruments and effects in Max using RNBO’s visual patching environment, then export to the Move as a .swu file through the Move Manager web interface. Switching between standard Move mode and Takeover mode is as simple as a reboot, so your existing Move workflow stays intact.
