4. Antispam Policy
Newsletter Subscriber
A registered user is added to our Newsletter Subscribers database when he/she leaves the “Yes. I want to subscribe to the Isotonik Studios newsletter” option ON, on our registration page. After completing our registration process which involves clicking an activation link sent to his/her email account the user becomes a Newsletter Subscriber. Our email communication with our Newsletter Subscribers is based solely on their permission.
What Is Spam?
Spam is unsolicited email also known as Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE). It involves emails sent to users who:
- Have no association with the sender
- Have registered an account but not opted in to receive commercial emails
- Have previously opted in but then opted out of receiving commercial emails
- It is also email communications without a valid reply-to address.
Email Communications
Isotonik Studios do not send spam – ever. The goal of our existing email communications is to inform our Newsletter Subscribers of the new releases which are published at most on a weekly basis. Our Newsletters include the links to our new products, information about promotions and latest news from our industry.
We do not sell or distribute (for financial gain or for free) or otherwise disclose any partner or customer e-mail addresses to any third parties except when legally required.
Each newsletter contains an Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message, transactional emails such as Order Notifications or Product Updates for products that have been purchased or downloaded are defined as Transactional Emails and are sent under the principle of legitimate interest.
Necessary Communication
There are situations which by their own nature require us to send you emails. These include:
- Sending a message to your emailbox with the link to activate your account at Isotonik Studios
- Sending you invoices for each completed transaction on our website.
- Sending you emails concerning technical, legal and support matters.
Please make sure you do not flag Isotonik Studios as ‘Spam’ or ‘Unsolicited’ in your email application.
When you get in contact with us (for example by email or via a form on the website) we will keep records of what is communicated. This is to ensure we have a record of our discussion for future reference and so we can improve the website.
5. Cookies, Beacons and Tracking
When you visit isotonikstudios.com we (and a small number of trusted third parties) place small text files called cookies on your device. Some are necessary to make the site work; others are optional and only set if you tell us it’s OK.
If you visit from the UK, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, you’ll see a consent banner the first time you arrive. We don’t set any optional cookies until you make a choice. You can change your mind at any time – there’s a “Manage cookies” button at the bottom-left of every page.
Visitors from other regions don’t see the banner because their local law doesn’t require it; you still have full visibility of what we set in the categories below, and your browser’s own cookie-management tools work normally.
What we set, by purpose
| Purpose | What it does | When | Provider | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps the site working – your shopping cart, your login, your currency choice, the security challenge that protects checkout, and your consent decision itself. The site genuinely won’t function without these, so they aren’t optional. | Always set | Isotonik Studios (first-party) and Cloudflare (security challenge) | Up to 12 months; cleared when you log out or close your browser, depending on the cookie |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how the site is used – which products people look at most, where the navigation gets confusing, which pages load slowly. We use this to improve the site. The data is aggregated; we never use it to identify you personally, and we never sell it. | Only if you opt in | Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) via Cloudflare Zaraz | Up to 14 months |
| Marketing | Lets us show you relevant offers on this site and on partner platforms (Facebook, Instagram). Includes a tracking pixel so we know which adverts brought visitors to us. If you opt out, you’ll still see adverts elsewhere – they just won’t be tailored to you. | Only if you opt in | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook Pixel); Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Ads conversion tracking) | Up to 90 days |
How to change your choice
- On the site: click “Manage cookies” at the bottom-left of any page. You’ll see the banner again with your current choices pre-filled – change what you like and save.
- In your browser: all major browsers let you delete or block cookies for any site. Doing this for the essential cookies will break login, cart, and checkout, so we recommend using the on-site banner first.
- Withdrawal is as easy as consent: rejecting after previously accepting takes one click and applies immediately to all future page loads.
How we record your decision
When you accept, reject, or save custom choices, we log the decision (along with your country and browser family – never your IP address or anything personally identifying) so we can prove we asked and you answered. This record is kept for two years to satisfy our regulatory burden of proof.
Third-party cookies and data transfers
When you opt in to Analytics or Marketing, the relevant providers may transfer data outside the UK / EEA – typically to the United States. Each provider relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the UK extension as the lawful basis for that transfer. You can read their own privacy notices here:
- Google Analytics 4: policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta (Facebook Pixel): facebook.com/privacy/policy
- Cloudflare: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
If you’d rather these transfers didn’t happen, simply leave Analytics and Marketing turned off – they only fire on opt-in.
For any other questions about cookies, please visit allaboutcookies.org.
6. Other disclosures
In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere in this privacy policy, we may disclose information about you:
- to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
- in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings;
- in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk);
if we buy or sell, or are negotiating the purchase or sale, of any business or assets, in which case your personal information may be shared with the purchaser or seller for that purpose.
We may anonymise information about you (so that you cannot be identified from it by third parties) and provide that information to third parties for the purposes of marketing analysis or to market the website or our services (for example, by letting our business partners know that 50 male individuals from a particular country viewed their product during a particular time period.
Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.
7. International data transfers
Information that we collect may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this privacy policy.
By submitting your information you agree to our use of the data as described in this privacy policy. This includes transferring your data to, and storing it at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or our suppliers. These staff or suppliers may be engaged in the processing of your orders, payments or the provision of support services.
8. Security of your personal data

- Consent Records: We retain the record of your cookie/banner choice (decision, country, browser family – never your IP address) for up to two (2) years, to evidence compliance with the UK/EU consent rules.
- Anonymised Data: After the retention period expires, we may retain anonymised or aggregated data (which can no longer identify you) for analytical and business reporting purposes.
Once the retention period has expired, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with our data protection policies.
