Crossfire – Using Two AKAI Fire’s

We often get asked if you can use our Crossfire Control Surface Script for more than one AKAI Fire, the answer is yes.

Ableton Live supports up to 6 Control Surfaces so you could use 6 of them at the same time as they’ll all act independantly of each other much like if you attached 6 Novation LaunchPads.

When in Sequencer Mode you can focus more than one Fire on the same clip, and then you can select different sequence pages on each unit.  So, for example, one could control the 1st sequence page while the other controlled the 2nd sequence page.  

Of course, it would be nice to not have to select pages on each unit and have them just linked together automatically.  That is on our internal wish list.  For now though, you’d have to do it manually.
