- Whole-surface modes reconfigure encoder rows, button rows, and Page and Track buttons in one step, rather than switching sections separately
- Visible session ring in Live’s Session View frames the seven tracks the controller currently holds; selecting a track in Live brings the ring to it, but moving the ring leaves the selection undisturbed
- Faders 1 to 7 follow the session ring; fader 8 is permanently assigned to the master, which is why the ring is seven tracks wide
- DAW Control mode places parameters 1 to 8 of the appointed device on the left encoder block and parameters 1 to 8 of the next device in the chain on the right, giving simultaneous hands-on control of two successive devices
