About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Isotonik Studios Ltd (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on isotonikstudios.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. If you are in the UK, the EU/EEA or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies, and you can change that choice at any time (see “Managing your choices” below).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, such as your basket, currency or sign-in, and help us understand how the site is used. Some are set by us (first-party) and some by trusted providers (third-party). We use the word “cookies” here to also cover similar technologies such as local storage and pixels.

How we ask for consent

Visitors in the UK, EU/EEA and Switzerland see a consent banner on their first visit, with three options: Accept all, Reject all, or Customise. Essential cookies are always on because the site cannot work without them. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you allow them, and opting out genuinely prevents those services from loading rather than just hiding them. We remember your choice for about six months and then ask again. Visitors outside these regions are not shown the banner.

The cookies we use

1. Essential (always active)

Required for the website to work: your basket and checkout, signing in to your account, remembering your cookie choices and currency, plus security and performance. These cannot be switched off.

  • iso_consent, iso_consent_region (Isotonik, about 6 months): remembers your cookie preferences and whether the banner applies in your region.
  • woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session (WooCommerce, session to 2 days): your shopping basket and checkout.
  • aelia_customer_country, aelia_cs_selected_currency (Aelia, about 1 year): shows prices in your local currency.
  • wordpress_logged_in, wp-settings (WordPress, session to 1 year): keeps you signed in to your account.
  • __cf_bm, cf_clearance (Cloudflare, 30 minutes to 1 year): security and bot protection.

2. Analytics (only with your consent)

Help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular and how people move around, so we can improve it. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

  • _ga, _ga_<id> (Google Analytics 4, up to 2 years): measures site usage. Loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz.
  • iso_attr (Isotonik, about 30 days): remembers how you arrived at the site, for example from a campaign link, for our own reporting.

3. Marketing (only with your consent)

Used to measure how well our advertising performs and to show more relevant ads on other platforms.

  • _fbp, fr (Meta, about 3 months): measures advertising performance and helps build audiences. We also use Meta’s Conversions API, which only runs once you have given marketing consent.

Third parties

Some cookies are set by services we rely on: Google (Analytics), Meta (advertising), Cloudflare (security, performance and our Zaraz tag manager), and our payment providers Stripe and PayPal at checkout. These providers handle any data they collect under their own privacy policies.

Managing your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Manage Cookies link in the footer, which reopens the consent banner. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
