Mark Towers

Based in Leicester, England, Mark is an artist, developer and educator in electronic music. As an Ableton Certified Trainer, much of Mark’s work is deeply entwined with Ableton Live and custom Max for Live devices which focus on offering unique ways of creating, performing and interacting with the music making process. As well as software development with Isotonik Studios, Mark also designs and builds music installations and custom hardware all with a continuing goal: making music fun.
As a keen enthusiast of quirky electronic music hardware, Mark’s first steps in the world of Max for Live saw the development of Push Pong, a generative sequencer that uses the 8×8 button grid on Push as a bouncing ball melodic generator. The success of this free device led onto the development of the Arcade Series and the Arcade Series Returns; a collection of Max for Live sequencers all inspired by classic arcade games that make use of supported grid-based controllers for Live.

Mark is currently working on new controller-based sequencer devices and a number of collaborative projects with fellow developers and sound designers.
