YRAKI

YRAKI is the artistic moniker of Italian electronic musician Mariano Sibilia, now based in London.

His work explores the edges of cinematic sound design whilst navigating a diverse range of postclub sonics. Within his music, time liquifies in nostalgic glitches and dance-floor transgression, to
crystallise again in the symbiotic ethers between the digital and the organic.

His debut EP “Argento,” released on the multidisciplinary label inklingroom in 2022, earned him recognition in Beatport’s “Best New Electronica” and “Best Club/Bass” charts, and reached No. 16
in the global chart, standing alongside artists such as Arca, Nikki Nair, Floating Points, Kaytranada, and Blawan. Following the EP’s release, YRAKI performed a sold-out show at London’s Cafe OTO,
opening for Loraine James, and later produced mixes for NTS Radio 1 and BICEP’s FMB mixtape series. He also appeared on compilations by Absurd TRAX and Renraku.

In 2024, YRAKI released a new EP on Turin’s leftfield bass label Early Reflex. Juno Download hailed the release as a collection of “hard-hitting rumblers, perfect for those dancefloor switch-ups
into pure pandemonium”.

Sibilia’s approach to music production is deeply rooted in computational complexity, intertwined with elements of the natural world. He is known for developing bespoke software that forms the
backbone of his compositions and live performances. Some of these innovative systems, which contribute to his distinctive sound, are available publicly and have been celebrated by an array of
high-profile artists and Grammy-winning producers, including S1, Flying Lotus, Arca, Mike Dean, and Mount Kimbie.
