Multiman is a free synth Pack based on the vintage Crumar Multiman-S, the string synthesizer that rivalled the beloved ARP String Ensemble and used by artists like Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk.
Released in 1977 by the Italian manufacturer Crumar, the Multiman-S (called Orchestrator in USA) is a lush string synth that rivalled the beloved ARP String Ensemble. Used by artists like Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk, this vintage best appears both in ‘70s rock songs and old school electronic tracks. Multiman is a synth Pack based on 6 multi-sample recordings based on its six preset sounds: Bass, Brass, Piano, Clavichord, Cello and Violin. The Pack delivers a total of 25 Live Synth Devices designed using Sampler/Simpler parameters and ready for modern electronic productions.

The Kontakt version of Multiman includes PRIMUS, a virtual instrument with an ultra-friendly interface and a solid set of synthesizer parameters. All the sounds included in Multiman can be easily selected using the Waveform menu and then tweaked using 25 different filters with cutoff and resonance, one multishape LFO assignable to Filter, Volume and Pitch and two envelopes for filter and amplifier. PRIMUS implements also a Glide effect, a Unison with up to 4 stacked voices and a set of built-in effect.
The Live version of Multiman has been designed to perfectly fit into your Ableton Live. All the included devices can be directly installed in your “Packs” section and previewed when selected in the Live browser. They have also been organized in Live standardized categories so that you can find them also in the browser’s “Categories” section. Moreover, all the sounds included in Multiman have similar perceived volumes and feature 8 macro controls with volume compensation to avoid unwanted distortions.
