In 1977, Italian manufacturer Crumar answered ARP’s String Ensemble with their own vision: the Multiman-S (marketed as the Orchestrator in the USA). Klaus Schulze wove its strings through cosmic soundscapes. Tangerine Dream layered its textures into expansive synthesizer arrangements. Kraftwerk deployed its mechanical elegance in their precise electronic compositions. From ’70s progressive rock to the birth of electronic music, the Multiman-S delivered a distinctive voice that bridged orchestral warmth with synthetic possibility.
