Adlais VI by K-teck

Euclidean but Deeper!

Features:

  • Euclidean Trigger Sequencer with ability to re-distribute triggers
  • Scale Scanning Module – a non-random way to select notes
  • 6 stage Klee Sequencer
  • Poly Mode Shift Registers – create strums and delayed note patterns

Your ‘go to’ for:

  • Chord progressions.
  • Strummed chords.
  • Melodic phrases
  • Bass lines
  • Rhythmic patterns

Don’t be fooled by the simple interface, Adlais is an extremely powerful MaxforLive Sequencer for Ableton Live

ADLAIS CONTROLS:

  • Clock: Clock 64n – 1nd – Sets clock pulse rate as a division of Live’s tempo
  • Clock Divider: 1 – 32 – Divides the Clock outpuActs like a multiplier so 1n * 16 = 16 bars per step
  • Global Reset: 1 – 128 – Resets ALL clocks, counters etc. to ZERO after nSteps
  • Swing: 50 – 75% – Classic drum machine type swing, Offsets every 2nd beat
  • Scale_Root: Sets the root note of the chosen scale
  • Scale: Menu 1 – 20 – Select the Musical Scale for the Scale Scan Module to scan through. This is not a quantizer
  • Pitch_Min: 0-127 – Select Lowest Note played irrespective of Root
  • Pitch_Max: 0-127 – Select highest note played.
    • Is an interval above Range_Min
    • When Range_Min is changed Range_Max will follow – keeping the interval constant
  • #Steps: Number of steps in euclidean sequence
  • Fill: Percentage of #Steps output triggers
  • Rotate: Rotates the euclidean trigger sequence clockwise or anti-clockwise
  • Distribution: Re-distributes the euclidean triggers (Fill) towards either end of the sequence
  • Klee: 0-64 Hex
    • The Klee is a 6step shift register
    • Each stage offsets the trigger count from the euclidean sequencer by 1 relative to the previous stage
    • This control selects which shift register stages will be output
    • The selected outputs are then summed and wrapped by the count max value and sent on to the Scale Scanner
  • Matrix: Sets the 8:4 matrix
    • The note output of the Scale section is passed through an 8 stage analogue style shift register
    • The outputs of the register are connected to 8 Matrix inputs
    • This control decides the internal routing of the matrix which has four outputs
  • Delays_On: Switches the polyphonic output delays On/Off
    • The delays offset outputs 2, 3 and 4 by the time value chosen in the adjacent menu
    • Strums, arpeggios etc.
  • Delays_Time: 64n – 1nd
    • Sets the time value by which outputs 2, 3 and 4 will be offset
  • Velocity: Sets the velocity value of the note output
  • Note_Duration: Sets the Duration as a %age of the Clock time value
    • Out_1
    • Blue = On
