ADM ORCHESTRAL is an Ableton Live Pack containing a themed set of instruments sourced from previous packs by Brian Funk released over the years. This particular collection includes instruments more along the lines of the orchestral persuasion, including Brass, Strings, Winds, and Voices. Note that these are not “orchestral” in the hi-fi sense, but rather they are orchestrally themed, emulating those sorts of instruments in quiant, colorful types of ways… you could say in the Brian Funk style.
Brass
Get your funky fanfare action on with the included 51 Brass Instrument Racks. Great for anything from hip hop to upbeat salsa to a midieval skirmish fanfare.
Strings
Mix in some sweet serenity to your score with a selection of 38 different soothing string timbres. Need that cheese in excessive, goopy quantities? It’s all here for you to ladle on. Or go a bit more refined and bust out the classy, elegant vibes. Who decides what’s cheesy and what’s elegant anyways? You, that’s who.
Woodwinds
Stoke the minstrely breath of your compositions with 25 lively wind instruments. You could make a sunny pirate ditty that evokes sailin’ on the high seas. Or perhaps you could infuse an adventurous journey through the rainforest to a ruined temple with mystical refrains.
Voices
Synthesize a custom choir group from among 30 voicelike instruments to back up your sections. This is more of a bonus than a serious offering. Synthetic Voices can be useful at times. Maybe that’s what androids from Planet Zork sound like?
“Synthetic Orchestral” instruments can sound super cool when mixed in a track. They are their own thing; they sound different and provide their own unique touch and should not necessarily be used for the same purposes that you’d want a real orchestra for.
ADM ORCHESTRAL contains sounds and instruments carefully and lovingly crafted by Brian Funk, an experienced Ableton Certified Trainer and curious sound designer. Each instrument was built to satisfy his own personal needs and desires in musical instrument design. ADM ORCHESTRAL was curated and organized by Animus Invidious of PerforModule for Isotonik Studios.
Our Products are generally provided as Zip file downloads which in all cases will need to be extracted and saved to your hard drive prior to installation. Details on the different file type provided and what to do with them are below.
.alp Files – These are Ableton Live Packs and will install directly into the Packs Section of the browser of Ableton Live. When you double click on them you will see a pop up window asking you to confirm that installation is ok as the files are described as “Legacy”. This is fine and you are ok to proceed, the packs are created using the format for an earlier version of Live and so remain compatible with the current version.
.amxd files – These are individual MaxforLive Devices and can be stored anywhere on your hard drive. We’d advise creating a folder for them and then adding that folder as a location within the Places section of Lives Browser.
Control Surface Scripts – Please refer to the individual User Guides provided with your download, an abridged version of the installation will be shown further down this page.
ClyphX Pro – Please refer directly to the manual and installation video for this specific product.
Novation Circuit Packs – These are provided as individual Sysex Files and as a complete bank file. All are to be installed using a version of the Circuit Editor and not via Novations Components back up utility.

Matt Hooper –
Quirky little library for that analog/digital orchestra vibe.
Joss Lane –
Nice original sounds, love them !
rob connelly –
Wide spectrum of great instruments. Well done!
Fabrice Van Putten –
This pack from Brian Funk is quite massive ! The big attraction for me is the fact that all these instruments work great for a live performance set. Since they are ‘native ableton instruments’ as opose to third party, the live project is less likely to crash…when you really need it to be stable.
Chris Krupa –
Lovely selection of interesting and useful sounds, there’s a lot too, I’ve still got dozens to explore!
Jussi Riissanen –
I love it.
M Mal –
I like these.
Useful and interesting sounds in there 🙂
Aki Lindholm –
Nice collection of usable orchestral sounds. Reminiscent of 80’s and 70’s synths.
