Low Fillers by Cluster Sound

Foundation Beyond the Kick

Every producer knows the kick anchors the track. But what fills the space between kicks? What adds weight to breakdowns, punctuates transitions, and provides low-frequency movement that keeps energy flowing? The answer: low fillers and bass shots—those punchy, sub-frequency hits that give tracks depth, dynamics, and dimension.

Low Fillers delivers 432 meticulously crafted ultra-low frequency elements designed specifically for this purpose. These aren’t kicks trying to be something else—they’re purpose-built bass shots and low fills created using advanced sound design techniques, spanning analog synthesis, digital processing, and experimental approaches. From clean VCO basses to distorted aggression, from glitchy chaos to noise-based texture, this pack provides comprehensive low-frequency toolkit for modern production.

Ten Specialized Categories

32 DCO Basses deliver digitally-controlled oscillator character—stable, precise, and punchy. These bass shots offer the clean power of classic DCO synthesis with modern low-end weight. Perfect for tracks that need consistent, reliable sub-frequency hits.

32 Distort Basses embrace controlled aggression, running bass tones through distortion for harmonic saturation and grit. These sounds cut through dense mixes while maintaining sub-frequency foundation—ideal for bass music, dubstep, and any genre where power and attitude matter.

32 PCM Basses capture the character of classic PCM-based instruments and samplers. These are bass shots with vintage digital charm—the sound of ’80s and ’90s hardware brought into contemporary production contexts.

32 Pulse Basses focus on square wave and pulse width modulation synthesis, creating bass tones with distinctive harmonic content and rhythmic character. These sounds have presence in both the sub and mid-range, making them cut through while maintaining low-end power.

32 VCO Basses bring analog voltage-controlled oscillator warmth to bass shot design. These are organic, slightly unstable, full of character—the kind of bass tones that feel alive and breathing rather than static and digital.

48 Buffer LoFills explore granular and buffer-based synthesis techniques, creating low fills with unique textural character. These sounds exist in the space between tone and noise, offering movement and interest in the low-frequency range.

48 Distort LoFills apply aggressive processing to low-frequency fills, creating saturated, crunchy textures that add energy and edge. Perfect for transitions, breakdowns, and moments where low-end needs to grab attention.

48 Glitch LoFills embrace digital artifacts and glitch aesthetics in the low-frequency range. Stutters, fragments, and broken textures that add contemporary character to bass-heavy productions.

48 Muddy LoFills explore darker, more obscured low-frequency territory. These fills have reduced definition and increased atmosphere—perfect for creating tension, depth, and shadowy low-end textures.

80 Noise LoFills use filtered noise as the foundation for low-frequency fills. These sounds add weight and texture without clear tonal definition, perfect for layering or creating sub-frequency atmosphere.

Synthesis Across the Spectrum

Low Fillers spans analog and digital synthesis approaches. VCO and DCO synthesis provide classic bass character. PCM sampling delivers vintage digital charm. Distortion adds aggression and harmonic richness. Glitch and buffer techniques create contemporary textures. Noise-based designs offer atmospheric weight. This diversity ensures you’ll find the right low-frequency element for any production moment.

Every sound has been designed with frequency balance in mind, ensuring these low fills and bass shots sit properly in mixes without muddiness or competing with kick drums. They’re crafted to complement, not compete—adding dimension to your low-end rather than cluttering it.

Organized for Maximum Efficiency

Every sound comes as a dedicated Drum Device with macro controls, providing immediate parameter access. Tune the pitch to fit your track’s key, adjust the decay for timing, shape the tone for character—all without digging through menus.

The pack includes 27 sound-specific Drum Racks, each containing 16 related devices with macro controls. Exploring VCO bass shots? Load the VCO Basses rack. Experimenting with glitch fills? The Glitch LoFills rack has you covered. This organization accelerates workflow and keeps creativity flowing.

Device preview playback lets you audition sounds before loading them. Direct installation into Ableton’s Packs section keeps everything organized and accessible. Find what you need, load it, tweak it, and keep working—no friction in the creative process.

Two Powerful Formats

For Ableton Live Users: 432 individual Drum Devices with macro controls, 27 organized Drum Racks for fast browsing, device preview playback, and seamless Packs integration. Everything optimized for Live’s workflow.

For Kontakt Users: The Droom synthesizer provides unified access with comprehensive sound design controls. Shape your low fills with filters, envelopes, and effects—complete creative control in a single interface.

Low-End for Every Genre

Bass music producers will find sub-rattling ammunition. House and techno creators will discover groove-enhancing fills. Hip-hop beatmakers will access punchy bass shots. Experimental electronic artists will uncover unique low-frequency textures. Whatever your style, Low Fillers provides the low-end elements that add depth, dynamics, and dimension to your productions.

Important Information

Initial Release – October 2025

Our Products are generally provided as Zip file downloads which in all cases will need to be extracted and saved to your hard drive prior to installation. Details on the different file type provided and what to do with them are below.

.alp Files – These are Ableton Live Packs and will either install directly into the Packs Section of the browser of Ableton Live or ask you to save them to your hard drive. For packs that install to the library, when you double click on them you will see a pop up window asking you to confirm that installation is ok as the files are described as “Legacy”. This is fine and you are ok to proceed, the packs are created using the format for an earlier version of Live and so remain compatible with the current version.

.amxd files – These are individual MaxforLive Devices and can be stored anywhere on your hard drive. We’d advise creating a folder for them and then adding that folder as a location within the Places section of Lives Browser.
