This pack is pure GAS therapy.
While I chose the Circuit especially for it's extensibility, it is true that it always sounds "like a Circuit".
This pack stands out with well organized patch banks and a cohesive drum rack, which make exploration easy and predictable.
While other packs feature more "impressive" sounds, the patches often have a single sweet spot that is designed for a particular arrangement.
The patches included in this pack offer a familiar and "pop-y" vibe, without lacking complexity. This is also reflected in the example projects, which sound fresh, despite being simple arrangements of tried and true composition styles that can easily be understood. The sane defaults for the macros are very suitable to liven up the sequences and return to the original sound, which I found difficult with other example projects that include heavy use of parameter locks to "glue" a sequence together.
During the checkout there was a minor hiccup, which Isotonik support resolved quickly and professionally.
In all honesty, the price for this pack is a steal and I was happily jamming before I even noticed the double charge.

This is must have pack for the Circuit Tracks. I was amazed how good the patches sounded, only with the Novation classic subtractive engine, definitely reflecting the versatile OP-1 synth engines and overall spirit. Looking forward to endless hours of fun and inspiration with this excellent pack.

The OP-1 has long been a device of creative inspiration, and now those sounds can be accessed directly on the Circuit Tracks, in a set of 128 patches emulating 8 of the OP-1’s iconic engines:
Cluster, Digital, DNA, Dr Wave, DSynth, String, FM, Phase & Pulse
The goal while creating OPERATION_1 was to get maximum musical expressiveness for the patches, with the original sounds as the starting point. Each Circuit sound was crafted to be as close to the OP-1 patch as musically possible. For movements or textures where the Circuit Tracks engine couldn’t emulate, effort was made to make it come as close as the Circuit engine would allow, yet still maintain the usefulness of the sound i.e. to make it as functional and creatively inspiring as possible for music creation.

Operation_1 is designed specifically for the Novation Circuit Tracks. It is not compatible with the original Circuit, Circuit Mono Station, or other hardware.
Not at all — that’s the whole point. Operation_1 gives you access to OP-1-inspired tones directly on your Circuit Tracks without needing the original hardware.
The patches are loaded onto your Circuit Tracks using Novation’s Components web editor, which lets you import and manage patches via your browser. No additional software is required beyond a compatible browser and a USB connection.
Each patch uses the OP-1 sound as its starting point, with careful attention paid to matching the feel and musicality of the original. Where the Circuit Tracks engine has limitations, the patches have been shaped to be as close as possible whilst remaining fully functional and creatively useful.
