Description

Organizm follows on from the successful Cosmogonik and Dreddsteppa packs, LDM Design goes for another deep dive, this time bringing natural sounds, atmospheric textures and organic beats. It provides a great selection of resources which can add an organic, natural element to any production, and sound great with ambient, chillout, IDM, techno, tropical & psychedelic styles.

ORGANIZM CONTENTS

The exhaustive collection of 64 finely crafted patches includes metallic and glassy mallets, clear and ethnic flutes, organ-sounding keys, dynamic sentient leads, bulbous basses and atmospheric elemental textures. Many of the sounds have a wide range of variation, utilizing the macros to go from clean to noisy, organic to electronic, from short stabs to long trailing pads.

The high quality samples are built around a carefully recorded selection of hits from a traditional Jordanian frame drum. The selection includes a complete set of raw hits, using a variety of objects, such as palms, sticks, mallets and more. A number of the samples have also been layered and processed, to cut through the mix of any electronic production. Also included are synthesized and FM drum samples which also have a natural feel, and some atmospheric FX.

Within the pack are also 16 sessions / projects to demonstrate a variety of styles and versatile sounds.

The pack uses a consistent set of macro assignments for intuitive play, which mostly follow the suggested macros for the Circuit Tracks.

This is my new favorite pack. As someone who prefers organic sounds but also electronic music production it is perfect. If you’re looking to make heavier music this pack probably isn’t for you, but if you’re like me and want to make beautiful lush sounding melodic music on the tracks you’ll love it. It’s fun just to find a scale you like and set different notes on all 16 steps then play it randomly. Do the same with a different sound on the second synth and you’ve got an instant generative song that will evolve and change while surprising you by matching or mismatching tones.

Extra shout out to customer service. I had an issue and they responded and fixed the same day!

It’s very unusual to find an ambient pack for Circuit, let alone a usable and useful one but you’ve got that here. I love the Jordanian samples and the more esoteric scales really come into there own with this pack. Excellent work, and I also want to thank support who’ve helped out with any problems I’ve had with the Circuit Tracks products.

At last…you have made my circuit sound like I always wanted it to. Endless. Thank you for this pack. Peas and love. 🙂

LDM Devices

LDM Design is a project which started life in 2016, recreating Monome apps in Max For Live to use natively on the Launchpad Mini, which are still freely available on his website. He also created the popular glitchy multi-FX sequencer devices Manglerack and MangleFX, influenced by the legendary Illformed Glitch VST. Since then the project has expanded into making all kinds of M4L devices, always taking care in designing a clean, unique GUI.Many of his devices also show a love for introducing various degrees of chaos and probability into music production. His first release for Isotonik, the LP Pack, continued recreating and improving upon classic Monome apps and original ideas to expand the creative potential of the Novation Launchpad Mk1 and Mk2. Next, as a homage to the great Brian Eno and his creative processes, LDM then released the best-selling Chance 10 Pack, which is a selection of modules utilizing chaos and probability to affect various elements of production. There are a number of great free devices available on his website – ldmdesign.org. Chords in Key converts single MIDI notes into chords based on a set key, Gravity Delay is a fun ‘bouncing ball’ MIDI delay, and Autosputter is for live glitchy audio slicing, based on the old Instajungle VST.LDM Design continues to work on projects for Isotonik and his own website which will be available soon.
