Note Length Control
Now you can adjust note lengths more precisely. Press and hold a step, then tap another to define how long the note should play—no need to edit length manually.
Overlapping Notes & Legato Style
Move now supports overlapping steps for expressive, legato-style programming. Great for pads and basses where smooth transitions matter.
Add New Clips from Note Mode
Need a fresh clip fast? Press Shift + Step 14 while in Note Mode to create a new clip instantly—ready to record or program.
Shift Lock & Loop Lock
Double-tap the Shift or Loop buttons to lock them in place. This reduces hand gymnastics and makes it easier to focus on fine editing or looping certain bars.
Parameter Locks with Visual Feedback
Parameter locking now shows actual values on each step—no more guessing what’s happening under the hood. It’s a huge boost for precision automation.
DIY DJ Filter with Delay
Swap the Saturator for a Delay on your drum rack, crank up the Dry/Wet, and boom—instant DJ-style filter. Works especially well for house, garage, or dubby effects.
Quantize Just One Pad
Play in live, then clean up without flattening your groove. Hold Shift + Step 16, then tap a pad to quantize only its notes. Your swing stays intact.
Master FX in Session Mode
Hidden but mighty: go to Session Mode and tweak the Punch Glue and Saturator on the master. Be aware: default saturation is +9dB, so dial back if needed.
Final Thoughts
The 1.40 update subtly changes how you approach production on the Move. From flexible clip handling to improved automation, these features give you deeper creative control and better performance feedback.
