Each of our Instrument Racks contain tips and insights. Open the info tab at the bottom left of the clip viewer and highlight the rack.
There are colour coded tutorials on what each of the macros will achieve when changed. By flicking through the presets you’ll find a host of new sounds and effects textures that instantly change the instrument or effect. You can also try using the randomize button at the top right of the rack. You’ll get some impressive results, or a cool new starting point to dial in and make your own preset snapshot. This will be saved with the rack within your Environment, or within the Rack preset when you save it to your browser.
Our Environments come in 12 different genres and are complete, mixed tracks created with fully functioning instruments, Drum Racks™, FX chains, channel strips and MIDI using only Ableton Live™ native plug-ins.
Each Environment is modular, so you can work inside it by deconstructing and reconstructing a new track, or you can drag and drop any elements you need to your own projects.

36db products, including Environments and Elements, are designed for Ableton Live Suite, but compatibility varies. Some work with Live Suite 11 and above, while others require newer versions. As we use Ableton’s full suite of instruments, effects, and Max for Live plug-ins, Suite is required. Check each product’s system requirements before purchasing.
No. All the synth sounds are included. Just open the Environment, save to your user library and you’re good to go.
Absolutely. The short answer is that the Environments are licensed to you for use in your original compositions with no royalties due to 36db ever.
But please remember you can’t sell or lend the Environment itself or the individual presets, sounds or samples.
