The Glitchtastic Device features 9 effects channels which include the following:
Each of the selected effects channels also may include LFO’s or Macros to multiple specific parameters of each of the effects in each channel. This allows you to change the settings for many of the Effects racks and create endless variations of that effects channel.
The Glitchtastic Device lets you mess up a sound or instrument, allowing you to glitch it out with 9 different effects channel feeds. These can be selected with the Warp Macro. By dialing the Warp Macro, you’ll see each effects channel switch to that channel feed, giving you a new effect treatment.
There are snapshots with different effects settings, which you’ll see change when you play the keyboard. Each key selects a different effects snapshot. This allows you to play and perform the Effects rack and create instant effects. By going back to the Thru channel, (which is Middle C), you will turn off the selected effects channel. This creates a momentary effect from your previous selection. Try it out, then you’ll get the idea!
Each of the snapshots can be customized with your own settings. Simply hit the randomize button and see what effects you create. By selecting and channel with the Warp Macro, you can audition the effect you’re testing out. Once you have something you like, save it onto that snapshot. Try making a bunch of your own snapshots. All the macros are connected to multiple parameters within the Effects rack. It will instantly give you some wonky vibes to work with!
If you want to keep the snapshots that are already created, simply make a new snapshot with the settings you’ve created. To select this new snapshot via MIDI, you’ll need to add a key to that specific new snapshot you’ve created.
Tip: The GlitchtasticDevice’s Thru channel has the dry signal constant through each of the effects channels. If you want to have just the effected signal, in chains, make the Thru channel only feed on the Thru channel selection.
