It’s little quality of live improvements in Ableton like this, that keep you motivated and inspired.
Great work!
Palette was created to manage the colors in Live, and allow you to design your own palettes to be allocated to any new tracks and clips. By limiting the colors to only those we want in our palette, we avoid having messy chaotic sets with random colors coming up all the time. Using this device, we can be sure to maintain harmonious and good looking projects with consistent and distinctive colors.
Utilizing separate palettes for tracks and clips, we can match track and clip colors, keep them separate, or assign a specific clip color to match each track color. Maybe we want to make sure that all of our bass tracks have the same color? Palette has you covered! Just assign a piece of text (eg. bass) to a Name slot, and then any track whose name contains that text (which is not case sensitive) will be automatically painted according to that color slot.
Palette is the most flexible and powerful color management device for Ableton Live available. Set up the device and leave it to do its work in the background while you focus on your music, or use it to repaint the entire project, creating stunning and harmonious projects.
Features include –
• Separate palettes for tracks and clips of up to 16 colors each
• Options to keep grouped tracks the same color
• 3 modes for clip colors – As Track, Following & Separate
• Painting tools for coloring individual tracks/clips or all of them together
• 8 text-matching color slots for track names
