Six Overtone and Undertone EQ racks which allow you to set the fundamental tone and then manipulate its related odd and even harmonic frequency nodes in various ways. When automating the root frequency, the harmonic effects will follow along. So what’s the point? Instrument timbres with more complexity than a sine wave will have a harmonic profile. By manipulating the common node points with EQ, we can greatly alter the perceptual character of material with minimal change to its overall gain. For instance, boosting even harmonics while curtailing odd harmonics will provide a dfferent timbre than bumping up odd harmonics while cutting even harmonics.

Harmonic Colorizer, a rack implementing a range of different methods to subtly enhance harmonics, great for adding crispness and vitality to dull source material and to help parts stand out in a mix. Dial in careful amounts of each macro to fine-tune your own custom refined enhancement character. The first macro controls the root frequency from which the harmonics are generated; the other seven parameters enhance the upper harmonics each in different ways: Harmopus, Hexpand, Hinyl, Harmodrive, Helf, Harosion, and OSR. By setting up a custom blend of controls and setting the Freq carefully, you can procure a tasty boost to the desired frequency, from giving chunky bass a bit more solid heft, to adding clarity to dull upper frequencies.

MIDI Stuff

10 Chord MIDI Effect presets, for adding “harmonic harmonizing” to polyphonic, velocity-sensitive MIDI instruments. Gives presets for each harmonic from 2 to 8, as well as “coarse”, “perfect”, and “undertone” presets which provide multiple harmonics in series.

3 Harmonics Extender racks (coarse, perfect, undertone) which give you nifty macro controls to determine and automate the amount and balance of the added harmonics. Useful for when you might want to assign the harmonics extension to a controller to be able to apply at whim live, or for automating to intensify for certain song sections in a composition.
